Founded in 1954
by Harold H. Kynett in memory of his wife, Edna, the primary
purpose of the Kynett Memorial Foundation is the "scientific
study, prevention, early diagnosis and alleviation of
diseases of the human heart and circulatory system; and
for the training of students, general practitioners and
specialists in that field of medicine."
Recent, major grants have supported
educational programs for primary care practitioners in
teaching or community hospitals in the Delaware Valley
and community-based ventures that aim to improve cardiovascular
health. Other grants have supported local conferences
and clinical research projects.
